Travelogue of a Blogger

Kelatan alawys give me some idea that it’s a state which full of islamic culture. This journey to Kelantan mainly is to attend my brother’s banquet dinner for bride side, and also deliver the “wedding gift” to the bride’s family.

5.30am - depart from Lunas(small town of Kedah), heading to Kelantan. And we will meet up with another car at Kuala Ketil. So, total 8 persons with 2 cars.

The road is sooooooo empty… but can’t speed.. as too much of curve along the hill… you though our car is Initial-D meh…

Waiting for 1 hours… saw the sun rise… fast fast snap some photos…  due to too dark the whole atmospher, and the car speedy as well.. just manage to get 1-2 sharp shoots.

Yeah.. now looks abit clear.. not so dark already.. time.. about 7am … but still croundly… and if you raise your hand out of the windows, ur hand can freeze !!!!

Yeah.. this is another partner car - Honday CR-V.

Nice scenery, but the car can’t stop, just shoot from the car only…

Finally, we reach Kelantan.. time check 11am !

First things need to settle, direct go to my brother’s gf house. Deliver all the things.. ….

The gift is full of car…

Wedding cookies… yummy !!! The last moment I taste was my wedding, 4 years ago ! Winnie special order 1 box for our own makan.. Now my breakfast, and tea time also take this.. with Tea.. i-chiban !

My aunties and cousin helping to organize the gift, and ready to bring into the house.

My brother’s gf parents receive the gift, and do some exchange (aiya.. some chinese traditonal rules)

Yummy !!!! They surve us some breafast + lunch ! What is this ? Kelantan version - ROJAK !

After settle all the traditinal ceremony, my aunty was requested to go “Stand Buddha”, which quite famous in Kelantan. Other 2 is “Sleeping Buddha” & “Sitting Buddha”.

After that, going back to our motel… E & E Inn.

Next morning, we ronda the whole Kelantan city, and realize this … “bahasa jawi” for all the signboard !

My brother bring us to morning famous kopitiam, yeah.. not easy to find chinese kopitiam in Kelantan. And this kopitiam damn famous.. Malay and Chinese also comming ! (Left to right : my father (hehe… ), my younger brother (this is the groom la) and his gf (my future sister in law)

Finally, we going back… and get the final shoot on the way back.. and I sleep all the way back to Home. As I was sick on the first day I reach Kelantan… damn sian..

Since we have a 2 days holiday of Hari Raya Puasa for our muslim friend, we take 1 day trip down to Ipoh to enjoy the famous local food there again. This is our 3rd time with 7 person in 2 cars.

Sorry to my buddies that Winnie & I wake up late ! Suppose to meet up at 6.30am, but that time only we wake up. Don’t know why the alarm didn’t wake us up at the end, about 7.30am only able to depart from Penang. Anyway, everybody still enjoy this trip !

So, let’s see what we had put inside our stomuch on yesterday !

p/s : this trip I only bring my Canon EOS 350D with Canon EFS 10-22mm & Sigma 17-70mm. Can’t effort to bring my 30D, afraid to breakdown again (do refer back to my bad story in Hong Kong trip Sept recently)

Sorry, forget to have some snap for the start up point in penang. haha…  I was late, so try to catch up the time speed down to Ipoh  ! As we got lots of place to makan ! Yummy yummy !

Yeah, our first spot is TIM SUM ! “Yoke Fook Moon” ! Every time, we also pay a visit to this Tim Sum restaurant.

 Lots of people, holiday ma… everybody was waiting for the empty table. Hai~ eat also not fun, why ? Do you feel confortable when people stear on you when you eat ? hai~~ fast fast eat liao.. chao !

While I stearing on tables, just have so atmostphear photograph.

Yeah, we were seated, and the tim sum is keep surving in…  Looks very yummy ! Taste also Yummy too !

After that, we proceed to Hua Nam kopi tiam.

I forget this name ! looks yummy, but I feel not yummy. Winnie like, even CC also like it very much !

Then, we went to find out the Curry Mee in Xin Quan Fang Kopitiam.

Abit late liao.. mostly sold out, and only left 2 bowl for us !

Sipek red, the curry powder very strong !

Due to so spicy of Curry Mee, we walk to this famous Soya bean store to enjoy… and cold down.

They have cold soya bean, and hot taufu fa.

Whole family members also very friendly !

Then, we drive out abit from Ipoh town to find this Curry Chicken Bread. Due to this restaurant was moved to another location. But just took as about 5-10 minutes, we found it ! But surprising us.. inside was no body, except the workers and us !

As usual, we order 1 Curry Chicken Bread.

Then we take a rest and chit chat in the restaurant…. and take a walk at Ipoh Parade. After 1 hour+ break, we continue with our initery… White Coffee & Char Koew Teow !

Before we enjoy the white coffee, we went into CT Kopitiam for the ……

Very traditional chinese desert, can’t miss for every trip down to Ipoh.

Some backend process.. the way they make the white coffee..  they already in the technology trend… using the hightech equipment to make coffee, instead of relay on the human energy !

We not able to find a place inside the kopitiam, so we decide to sit behind the street of kopitiam.
